Illinois State Police District 11 Commander Captain Joe Kollins reminds motorists to make driving safety their number one priority this Labor Day holiday weekend.
Officers will push for zero fatalities by enforcing the four most common causes of fatal crashes: speeding, DUI, seat belts, and distracted driving.
Labor Day weekend is traditionally the end of the summer travel season and one of the busiest driving periods of the year.
Please do your part by driving safely. Never use a hand-held electronic device while driving, do not drive if you have been drinking, and obey all traffic laws especially speed limits.
