The 12th annual Bond County Humane Society Paws In the Park at Patriot’s Park was a big success.

Pet owners from throughout the area brought their dogs to participate in the many activities.

Rachel Hundsdorfer, from the humane society, told WGEL she was elated with the turnout for organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year, which was held in perfect weather.

The day began with the Pet Parade. First place went to Lillie Martin from Staunton, with her dog, Bessie. Bessie was dressed as a lion ad Lillie was the lion tamer. Bessie was adopted by the Martin family through the Bond County Humane Society.
