A stolen car was involved in an accident about midnight Sunday on Elevator Road in Shoal Creek Township.
A Bond County deputy reported that the car was discovered after the driver failed to make a turn and the car travelled off the road and struck a ditch.
The driver fled the scene.
According to the sheriff’s department, the stolen vehicle belongs to a rural Sorento man.
