Southwestern Electric Cooperative held its annual meeting Saturday at the Greenville Jr. High School.
A total of 1,079 members registered.
Kerry Sloan, Southwestern Electric’s Chief Executive Officer, talked to WGEL about the future of electric rates for members, stating rates will be stable in the near future. Sloan said there are many variables to consider in the future, but SWEC is under contract until 2020. Click below to hear more:
Those attending the meeting were treated to a free breakfast. A children’s area provided games and inflatables, and Greenville Elementary School first graders opened the meeting by singing “The Star Spangled Banner.”
Re-elected as directors of the co-op were Alan Libbra, Ron Schaufelberger and Randy Wolf.
