The developer of the Greenville Commons apartment complex was in circuit court last Friday pertaining to complaints filed against him by the City of Greenville.
In August, the city filed ordinance violation complaints and a miscellaneous remedies case in court. They alleged Thomas Bow was in violation of the city’s property maintenance code.
Friday, Judge Ronald Slemer was advised by the parties that a stipulated agreement had been reached on all cases.
Judge Slemer found the defendant guilty of the alleged violations. He ordered that Bow has 7 days to re-erect the silt fence, cut the grass on the bank and below, and he must keep the bank mowed.
Bow has an additional 14 days to remediate the rest of the debris, plus the grading and drainage to eliminate standing water.
Bow will pay a fine and court costs totaling $2,000.
Apartment buildings are currently under construction on the property, which was the location of the old Greenville Junior High School.
