VFW Post 1377 in Greenville hosted an American Red Cross blood drive Thursday, September 17. Forty-nine people registered with forty-two units of whole blood and five units of red blood cell collected. The Red Cross goal was 40 combined units. Valarie Gaffner received 13-gallon pin, Lonis Gruen a nine-gallon pin, and Michael Bare and Jeff Hutchison one-gallon pins. Donald Doll, Jr., Dean Thole, and Jim Cruthis donated red blood cells.
