Bond County Board Of Health Talks Sidewalks, Flu Shots

In their recent meeting, the Bond County Board of Health voted to authorize Public Health Administrator Mark Ayers to spend up to $10,000 to construct a sidewalk along the property line at the north end of the health department parking lot. The sidewalk will connect the health department building with the new sidewalk being placed along South Fourth Street by the City of Greenville.

Ayers informed the board that the department had administered over 200 flu vaccinations so far this season, including regular and high-dose shots. Shots are given at the health department on a walk-in basis and for children by appointment. For more information or to make an appointment, call the health department at 664-1442, ext. 126.
