When the Bond County Board meets in regular session Tuesday morning, the county budget will be the prime focus. The board is trying to shore up a nearly half-million dollar shortfall in the 2016 budget.
In their last meeting, board members said the county was in a dilemma as they’re still uncertain of what funding will come from the state. It was noted that if the state funds everything it did in 2015, next year’s budget would still be tight.
Department heads have been asked to make cuts wherever possible.
The board’s meeting Tuesday will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the courthouse board room.
