The Parkinson Support Group at the Bond County Senior Center is sponsoring a trip to Springfield on October 30.
Senior Center Director Anna Oestreich said the field trip will include a stop at the Illinois Assistive Technology Center. She said there are areas of the center set up like specific household rooms (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc.), and the rooms are equipped with assistive devices that can be utilized within that area of your home. Oestreich said she hopes the trip will give people with difficulty getting around some ideas about resources available to them.
