Fire Under Mobile Home In Clinton County

Keyesport Firefighters responded Tuesday, at 3:16 p.m., to a report of smoke from a mobile home on Acorn Drive, south of Keyesport, in Clinton County.

According to Fire Chief Jim Golder, the cause of the fire is probably electrical, starting in some flexible duct work under the trailer. Firefighters removed underpinning and insulation and extinguished the small fire.

They confined the fire and damage to the area under the trailer and there was no damage to the living area. Damage is estimated to be minimal. Wheatfield Firefighters were put on standby at their firehouse but did not respond to the scene.

No injuries were reported and firefighters were on the scene about 45 minutes.
