Greenville City Manager Attends Enterprise Zone Meeting

Greenville City Manager Dave Willey

Greenville City Manager Dave Willey attended the Illinois Enterprise Zone Association meeting in Rockford last week.

He said discussions included the state law regarding enterprise zones and its interpretation.

Greenville’s current zone will expire in December of 2017. It applied for a new one this past year, but was not successful. Willey said the state did not award any new zones to cities that still had more than two years remaining in their current zone.

The city manager stated Greenville plans to reapply next year for a new zone.
