Greenville College will take its orange and black Homecoming celebration to the streets in a parade on Friday, October 16, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Spectators will enjoy lively music, honored alumni, student groups, athletes, cheerleaders and the college’s panther mascot Hoguey. Members of the homecoming court will join the festivities that include the Greenville College Panther Corps marching band. Beloved member of the college community and former coach Sharon Alger will lead the way as parade marshal.
The parade begins at the United Methodist Church parking lot on Second Street and travels north to College Avenue, east on College Avenue to Eastern Avenue, north on Eastern to Oak and then west on Oak back to campus. Greenville College invites families and friends in the community to enjoy food, music, and fun inflatables for children at a post-parade pep rally on Scott Field. The cost of the meal is $10 per plate, payable at the event. For additional information about the parade and other Homecoming activities, go to greenville.edu/homecoming or call 618.664.6500.
