Mulberry Grove Board Of Education Accepts Resignations, Hires Teacher Aide

At the Monday Mulberry Grove Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Brad Turner reported the district is still getting general state aid payments on time and current fund balances look good. Categorical state aid payments and Special Education payments have been vouchered but funds have not yet been released. The district continues to receive tax money from Bond and Fayette Counties.

The board approved a change in the junior high / high school handbook. The change is a move from quarter to semester exams freeing 3-4 days in the first and third quarters for classroom instruction which might otherwise be used for review and tests.

Following an executive session, the board accepted the resignations of Shayleen Smith, Elementary Teacher Aide, and Justin Joiner, Elementary Basketball Coach. The board hired Kate Alderman as Elementary Teacher Aide.
