Mulberry Grove Man Charged With Alleged Sexual Misconduct In STL Court

A Mulberry Grove man has been charged in St. Louis County Circuit Court with alleged sexual misconduct involving a child under the age of 15.

Kelley Ellsworth, age 41, of 205 East South Street in Mulberry Grove, is the defendant in the case. St. Louis County police allege the incident occurred between October 20 and October 25 of 2013.

The Class D felony charge alleges Ellsworth exposed his private parts to a detective masquerading online as a child less than 15 years old.

Information presented to the prosecuting attorney’s office by police indicated law enforcement in St. Louis County assumed the identity of a 14-year-old girl, and officers allegedly responded to an online ad placed by the defendant, seeking a female companion.

Police alleged Ellsworth acknowledged in online chats that he knew the age of the purported female and engaged in sexually explicit dialogue with her.

Police also allege the defendant sent online an inappropriate image of himself.

St. Louis County Police alleged that when Ellsworth was contacted, he made incriminating statements.
