Swansea Woman Killed, Three Children Injured On I-70 Near Maryville

A Swansea woman was killed and her three children were injured in a crash on Interstate 70 near Maryville Thursday night.

27 year old Samantha S. Miller, of Swansea, was travelling eastbound on I-70 when she began experiencing mechanical problems with vehicle near milepost 16. Officials report Miller pulled to the shoulder of the road and got out of the vehicle. She was struck by a pickup truck which also then struck her vehicle with her three children inside. The children, aged three, six, and eight were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The crash was first reported to 9-1-1 at 8:01 p.m.
