Unit 2 Board Takes Action On Personnel Matters

The Bond County Community Unit 2 Board of Education met Monday and took action on several personnel matters.

Two resignations were accepted. They were from Brooke Slatton as a special education teacher at Greenville Elementary School, effective Friday; and Kami Suess as the high school assistant girls’ soccer coach, effective immediately.

Carol Ellsworth has announced her retirement, effective the end of this school year. She is a library clerk and computer teacher at Pocahontas School.

The board hired Krystine DaCorte as the new volleyball coach at Greenville Jr. High School, Kathy Franklin as a 2 hours per day food service employee at GES, and Jennifer Campbell as a 2 ½ hours per day food service employee at the high school.

Kevin Jackson was approved as a volunteer coach for high school boys’ basketball.

The board also approved a list of 50 individuals as volunteers at various schools in the district. All motions were passed by votes of 7 to zero.
