Unit 2 Student Enrollment Update


The recently released Bond County Unit 2 Budget At A Glance document contains information about student enrollment this school year.

As of September 30th, there were 1,750 students, kindergarten through grade 12, in the district, four more than on that date a year ago.

Enrollment by centers this year include 157 at Sorento School, 218 at Pocahontas School, 540 at Greenville Elementary School, 297 at Greenville Junior High School, and 538 at the high school.

The report shows the district has 9 administrators, 122 non-certified support staff members, 113 certified teachers and 12 part-time teachers. Over 64 percent of the teachers have a masters degree or above, the average years of experience among teachers is just over 13 years, the elementary student to teacher ratio is 18 to 1, and the high school student to teacher ratio is 19 to 1.

The report also lists the average teacher salary at $59,466. The average administrator salary is $84,812.
