City Lake Committee Calls Special Meeting

Governor Bond Lake

The Greenville Lake Committee has scheduled a special meeting for November 16 at 7 p.m. in the municipal building.

The committee met earlier this month, but no official action was taken because one of the four members was not present.

The committee delayed the election of officers.

Items discussed included the use of Governor Bond Lake by high school and college teams for fishing tournaments, horsepower allowed for watercrafts using the lake, fuel delivery, the need for more buoys on the lake, and the possibility of a community shoreline cleanup day at the lake.

These items will be brought up at Monday’s special meeting.

All recommendations of the Lake Committee go to the city council for consideration.
