Details have become available on a single-vehicle accident that claimed the life of a Sandoval man Tuesday, November 3 in Centralia.
A representative of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department told WGEL that 23 year old Travis Bierman, of Sandoval, was heading west on Old Route 50 about a quarter mile east of Jolliff Bridge Road in Centralia. Bierman was driving a Jeep Cherokee and pulling a trailer loaded with scrap metal. Officials say the trailer appeared to have been overloaded. The trailer began to fishtail, causing Bierman to lose control of the vehicle. The Jeep left the roadway and rolled several times. Bierman was ejected and transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia where he was pronounced dead.
Bierman’s passenger, 41 year old Jeffrey Whitehouse was not ejected and escaped injury.
