Donnewald Distributing of Greenville was recently presented the Public Affairs Award of Excellence by the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois at its annual convention.
Bob Donnewald, vice-president of Donnewald Distributing, was in attendance to receive the honor.
Bob Meyers, president of the association, told WGEL that the award recognizes Donnewald Distributing for participating in the association’s underage drinking program, distributorship profiles, beer truck sign visibility program, and for having local legislators tour the distributorship.
Meyers said the underage drinking program is by far their most important program. The association partners with the Illinois Principals Association in an effort to educate teens and their parents on the dangers of underage drinking.
