It’s been an annual Veteran’s Day event at Greenville High School since 2005.
Students and staff will gather Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. to honor local veterans.
Jennifer Dannaman, coordinator of the program, told WGEL students don’t always attend community events on Veteran’s Day and this is a great way to involve students and teach them the importance of recognizing those who have served our country.

Dannaman said Tony Koonce will be the guest speaker for the all-school assembly. He has helped with the assembly since the beginning.

Students are involved in the program as speakers and by carrying flags. The band and chorus will perform.
