Marching Comets To Participate In St. Louis Thanksgiving Parade

For the fourth time, the Greenville High School Marching Comets will be in the St. Louis Thanksgiving Day parade on Thursday. The parade, which begins at 8:40 a.m., will be televised on KMOV.

Director Ryan Thomason told WGEL the Marching Comets are preparing for their appearance. It is required of the band to learn a new song for the parade. They also have learned a new formation for the performance.

The Marching Comets have been in several parades this fall. Thomason said the band was recently invited to perform at the Liberty Bowl parade in Memphis, Tennessee, but was unable to accept the invitation.
