Semi Truck Fire On Interstate 70

Greenville firefighters battle a semi truck fire on I-70 Monday night.

Greenville Firefighters responded Monday, at 6:48 p.m., to a report of a semi truck fire on Interstate 70 in the eastbound lanes at the 41 mile marker.

According to the fire report, an oil leak under the rear wheels caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and damage is estimated at approximately $5,000.

No injuries were reported and firefighters were on the scene about an hour and ten minutes.
