Two People Charged In Armed Robbery In Semi Truck Tractor

Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies responded Monday, November 23, at approximately 2:10 a.m., to a report of an armed robbery.

According to the police report, deputies met with the victim who said he was asleep in his semi-truck tractor on Chain of Rocks Road when someone knocked on the door. He opened the door and a black man and a black woman allegedly entered the cab and demanded money. He refused to give them money and they allegedly threatened him with a knife. He again refused and they allegedly physically attacked him. Eventually he did give them some money and they fled in a maroon Ford minivan.

At 4:30 a.m., a Madison Police Officer stopped Leroy Pryor, age 49 and Darline Coleman, age 44, both of Madison, Illinois. Police took them to the Madison County Jail and bond was set at $300,000 for Coleman who was charged with alleged armed robbery and $200,000 for Pryor who was charged with alleged aggravated robbery. Coleman was allegedly armed with a knife during the robbery.

The victim was not seriously hurt but had minor cuts and abrasions.
