Bond County Food Baskets To Be Distributed Saturday

The distribution of baskets in the Bond County Canned Food Drive will take place Saturday at the Greenville Presbyterian Church.

Thursday is the final day applications for food baskets can be submitted. Over 230 basket requests have already been turned in. Applications are available at the Greenville Police Department.

Baskets will be distributed on a schedule set up by what fire district a person lives in. The Pocahontas-Old Ripley District will be at 9 a.m., the Keyesport District will be at 9:30, the Mulberry Grove and Smithboro districts will be at 10 a.m., the Shoal Creek District will be at 10:30, and the Greenville District will be at 11 a.m.

Firefighters from throughout the county will assist with loading food baskets into cars and trucks.
