Illinois State Representative John Cavaletto walked in the Greenville Bicentennial parade in September, but was not able to officially present a state resolution honoring the city.

This month, Cavaletto attended the Greenville City Council meeting.

The resolution spoke about Greenville’s access to state and national roads during most of its history, the historical figures who have talked in the city, including Abraham Lincoln, Stephen Douglas and Ronald Reagan, and the many industries and businesses that have been successful in the city.

Representative Cavaletto presented the resolution to three members of the Bicentennial Executive Committee: Rex Catron, Jenara Willman, and Allan Davis.
