For over a year there has been talk about the possibility of the Dollar General business in Greenville moving to a new building. The Greenville City Council even agreed on a TIF agreement for a building at the intersection of Third and Summer Streets.
The move will not occur, according to Greenville City Manager Dave Willey.
He told WGEL the business renewed the lease at its current location. He said the lease expired sooner than Dollar General believed it could complete a necessary environmental study and build a new facility.
