Germantown Police Investigate Thefts From Cars


The investigation continues into a rash of thefts from cars that occurred in the early morning hours of December 3rd in Germantown.

Germantown Police Chief Jeff Wuebbels told WGEL vehicles were entered at 10 different locations in the village. All of them were unlocked.

The police chief said two Remington shotguns, a laptop computer, and miscellaneous change and cash were a stolen.

Tips about the thefts are being sought, according to Chief Wuebbels, and a reward is being offered through the Clinton County Crimestoppers.

Chief Wuebbels said it is not known if there is any connection between the thefts in Germantown and similar thefts that occurred in other nearby towns including New Baden.
