Precinct Committeemen To Be Elected March 15

At the March 15th primary election, precinct committeemen will be elected in Bond County.

The political parties, Democrat and Republican, have a committeeman in each of the 25 precincts in Bond County.

The petition deadline for candidates was Monday.

Only five Democrats and seven Republicans filed petitions.

The Democrats are Dan Sidwell in Old Ripley, Joe Whalen in Pleasant Mound 2, Travis Edwards in Burgess 1, Bill Edwards in LaGrange 1 and Eldon Young in Shoal Creek 3.

The Republicans are Barb Kirkman in Central 2, Carol Lingley in Central 5, Douglas Marti in Central 1, Carl W. Gaffner in LaGrange 1, Thomas Qualls in Central 6, Colleen Camp in Central 7, and Evelyn Jo Kerwin in Shoal Creek 4.

Vacancies in precinct committeeman positions can be filled by party appointments following the election.
