The Bond County Community Unit 2 Board of Education meets Monday at 7 p.m. in the Greenville Junior High School.
On the agenda will be the tax levy. A public hearing on the levy will open the meeting at 7 p.m. It has been proposed that the district levy another $20,000 in each of the IMRF and Social Security funds and another $100,000 in the tort insurance fund.
A facilities sales tax referendum will also be discussed by the board. It is possible that action could be taken to place the referendum on the March ballot.
The board’s Building and Grounds Committee met this week and reviewed the architects that submitted proposals to do the new Unit 2 life-safety survey.
Six of the 12 architects were interviewed.
After hearing from Superintendent Wes Olson and Facilities Director Mike Wilhite, the committee agreed to recommend to the full board that BLDD of Decatur do the survey. BLDD has worked previously in Unit 2, being involved in the construction of the Greenville Junior High School.
The Finance Committee looked at the revenues and expenditures this fiscal year.
Through November, which is five months of the fiscal year, the district has received 51 percent of its budgeted revenues and has spent 46 percent of its budgeted expenditures.
