Unit 2 Board Takes Action On Personnel Matters

The Bond County Community Unit 2 board of education addressed several personnel matters Monday night.

Jessica Rinderer was hired as a special education teacher at the Greenville Elementary School for the rest of the school year, and Molly Boudouris was approved as a part-time KRP aide at GES for the remainder of the school term.

Alison Hall is the new boy’s head track coach at the high school while Lori Williams will be the girl’s track coach. Todd Cantrill was hired as the assistant girls’ soccer coach.

The resignations of Nichole Becker, as special education aide at GES, and Billie Jo Blankenship, as a high school custodian, were retroactively approved. Cassandra Holler also resigned as the Current Events Through Computers teacher at GES, effective January 8th.

Four retirements were accepted. They are for Linda Walker, second grade teacher at GES, at the end of the 2016-17 year; Jo Ellen Whitehead, third grade teacher at GES, at the end of the 2017-18 school year; and Sue Stone, English teacher at the high school, and High School Principal Wendy Porter, both at the end of the 2019-20 school term.

Leaves of absence were granted to Matthew McPeak at Greenville Jr. High, Michelle Daniels at GES, and Alison Venhaus, at the high school.
