Update On Recent Greenville FFA Activities

The last several weeks have been a busy time for the Greenville High School FFA Chapter.

On Saturday December 5th, the chapter’s Agronomy Team competed at the State Contest at the University of Illinois. The team placed 22nd overall with individual placings by Chad Stearns who placed 64th and Amber Blackmon who placed 66th overall.

The GHS FFA chapter also competed in the Section Contest in Pana recently. The Greenhand Quiz Bowl team placed 3rd. Mitchell Langham placed 4th at the Job Interview Contest. The Ag Sales Team placed 3rd overall, with individual placings including Scott Woker in 1st place; Mitchell Langham, who placed 8th; JT Thiems in 10th; and Brooke Krankel, who placed 11th. Congratulations also to the Greenville FFA Agronomy team. They placed 3rd at the section contest. Individually, Amber Blackmon was 3rd place, Logan Hilmes was 4th, and Cole Wall took 7th place. Other members included JT Thiems and Dalton Knerrer.

The Greenville FFA Chapter’s Community Development group recently partnered with the Greenville First Christian Church to collect boxes of macaroni and cheese, to be donated to the Bond County Food Pantry. The group had a goal of 300 boxes and collected a total of 352.
