The first measurable snow of 2016 arrived Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
About three inches of snow fell in Bond County, covering roads and presenting a challenge to drivers.
Knowing the snow was coming, schedules were altered for public works employees so there were trucks continuously on the roads during the snow storm.
Bill Grider, superintendent of public works, reminds Greenville residents that when two or more inches of snow are received, vehicles should not be parked along the posted snow routes.
