Greenville Regional Hospital’s Health Fair events have changed locations to the First Christian Church in Greenville. Online registration opened on January 11th and over 500 participants have registered so far. Organizers say moving locations will allow more access to space to accommodate the growing event.
The Health Fair is set to take place on March 18th and online registration is available at https://healthfair.mygrh.org. Online registration will be open until March 10th. Alternative registrations will be held on February 24th from 8:00 a.m. to noon by phone by calling 618-690-3599 or in-person at the First Christian Church, located at 1100 Killarney Drive in Greenville. The Health Fair is open to the public, and the hospital advises people to sign up to reserve a timeslot for their tests and screenings.
Walk-ins will also be welcomed after 11:00 a.m. on event day, March 18th, and will be served on a first come, first serve basis.
At the event there are many tests available including bone density screenings, respiratory screenings and more. The lab work screenings offered have nominal costs to offset fees. These include:
A comprehensive health and blood screening, which takes 10-15 minutes to collect and costs $35.
A PSA, or prostate screening, for men for $10 more.
A hemoglobin A1C test to detect diabetes for $10.
A Vitamin D check for $15.
A ColoVantage test, which is a colorectal cancer screening, can be added for $130.
Greenville Regional Hospital’s health fair will feature popular health booth exhibits, giveaways, refreshments and a live WGEL remote broadcast.
