CEO Program Open To High School Juniors/Seniors

A meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on March 3rd in the Greenville High School media center to promote the Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) program.

It is provided by the Midland Institute For Entrepreneurship.

CEO is for junior and senior high school students and is funded by business investors.

Adam Stroud, Greenville economic development coordinator, said students are chosen through an application process and will receive high school credit through the program. Business leaders from our community and other CEO programs will serve as guest speakers. Stroud said students actually start their own businesses and business leaders from the community mentor students. Funding is provided by private businesses.

Schools are asked to offer CEO classes and provide high school credits to students.

Stroud said the March 3rd meeting is open to students, parents, educators, business owners, and other members of the public from throughout Bond County.
