House demolition projects, initiated by the City of Greenville, are being completed.
A condemned house in the 400 block of West Washington Avenue was torn down last week.
Work stared this week to demolish a condemned house in the 300 block of East South Avenue.
The City of Greenville contracted with Daniken Excavating for the work. The business was the low bidder on each project with the combined cost being $8,829.40.
The city will place a lien on the Washington Avenue property for the cost of the demolition.
The South Avenue lot is the property of the city, after being quit-claimed to it by the owner. City Manager Dave Willey said the city will be exploring options regarding what to do with the property.
