Income Tax Filing Service Available At Bond County Senior Center


The Bond County Senior Center is once again providing income tax filing services through the AARP Tax-Aide Foundation.

Anna Oestreich, executive director of the senior center, told WGEL the service is targeted at individuals 60 and older, but it’s not restricted to that audience.

She said appointments are now being taken. You will need a photo ID, a Social Security card, and a copy of last year’s tax return.

Appointments are made for Tuesday’s and Thursday’s between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Oestreich said efforts will be made to accommodate those needing other days and times.

Oestreich said there are some tax returns that are not accepted in the program, including complicated business profit/loss returns, rental property with expenses, farm income, and a few other complicated returns.
