Recent Blood Drive Surpasses Red Cross Goal

The Bond County Home and Community Education hosted an American Red Cross blood drive Saturday, February 6, in the Family Life Center of the First Christian Church in Greenville.

Nineteen people registered with 17 units of whole blood and four units of red blood cells collected. The Red Cross goal was eleven whole units and four units of red blood cells.

Shirley Volentine earned a 13-gallon pin and Dennis Warren a 2-gallon pin. Mikhael Neville received a blood drop pin as a first-time donor.

Don Doll and Dennis Warren each donated two units of red blood cells.
