At its recent meeting, the Bond County Community Unit 2 Board of Education hired Stephanie Balducci as a full-time Kindergarten Readiness Program teacher at the Greenville Elementary School for the 2016-17 school year.
She will replace Leslie Brissenden, who is retiring after this school year.
The retirement of Rena Ward as a bus driver was accepted, effective at the conclusion of the 2016-17 school year.
Leaves of absence were granted to Bradley Rickman, Jack Marchio, Patty Hunter and Ella Drumeller.
High school graduation will take place on Friday, May 20th at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium
The board approved an intergovernmental agreement for the district to receive Alternate Education Program services from the regional superintendent’s office for the 2016-17 school year.
A new class, business communications, was approved to be added to the high school curriculum for the next school year. It will count as an English credit.
The board renewed the bond for Finance Director Dena Petroline at a cost of $331.
The FFA officers were given approval for a chapter visit trip to Nashville, Tennessee March 5th through March 7th. There is no cost to the district for the trip.
