The Greenville High School Student Council sponsored an American Red Cross blood drive for students and staff in the school’s gym last Tuesday. Sixty-one prospective donors registered with 42 units of whole blood and five units of red blood cells being collected.
Students receiving blood drop pins as first-time donors were Helen Bare, Justine Joiner, Daniel Jones, Skylar Durbin, Cody Finley, Cameryn Gan, Calais Carter, Brenton Althardt, Nick Potts, Madi Funneman, Emma’lee Baer, Scott Woker, Trent Albert, Kenneth Smith, Will Sunderland, Luke Ciszczon, Christian Sauerwein, Mara Caldieraro, Kelsie Taylor, Christian Hemken, Jarrett Suzuki, Elizabeth Confer, Ryan Dickman, Caine Ashlock, Cody Heckman, Joe Derleth, Tatyana Gibbs, Robert Powers, Hannah Bunker, Amber Blackmon, and Rylee Erickson.
Multiple blood donors were Liz Mollet, 20; Jason Springston, six; David Pearman, Daniel Shepherd, Adam Cruthis, and Mandrake Devine, three each; Will Schreiber, Clayton Schrumpf, Dalton Sugg; William Riedemann II, Austin Green, Noah Walker, Tanner Kinkel, Maddey Tebbe, McKayla Elam, and Kayley Wright, two each.
Student Council Advisor Dawn Mulholland coordinated the drive. Student Council registered donors, encouraged and were supportive of the donors, hosted the canteen serving juice and snacks, and helped with clean up following the drive.
