The Greenville Plan Commission was scheduled to conduct a public hearing Monday night on a request from AirEVAC EMS, an emergency air ambulance service, to allow a heliport at 2025 South Fourth Street, which is the former location of a car dealership.
City Manager Dave Willey said AirEVAC EMS withdrew its request because they were reportedly considering other properties. Willey said the city is unsure of the company’s plans.
The application for a special use permit listed O’Fallon, Missouri as the address for AirEVAC EMS. The property at 2025 South Fourth Street in Greenville is owned by Dan and Cindy Daum.
