Greenville Firefighters responded Tuesday, at 4:35 p.m., to a report of an uncontrolled burn on Ayers Road north of Sorento Avenue.
According to the fire report, there was a fire in a field and wind caused it to spread to timber.
Firefighters extinguished the fire. They were on the scene almost an hour.
