Kingsbury Park District Bonds Approved

The Kingsbury Park District Board has approved the issuance of $282,000 in general obligation bonds to be used for swimming pool renovations.

Anthony Macon, Scott Crothers, Jose Lirios and Tommy Simpson voted for the bonds with Barb Smith abstaining.

Park District Director Jerry Sauerwein said the $282,000 worth of general obligation bonds will be paid back in 2016 and 2017.

The bond money would be combined with a state grant the park district has been allotted through the Open Space Land Acquisition and Development program, better known as OSLAD. Sauerwein said no expenditures will be made until the state approves a budget.
