The Mulberry Grove FFA Chapter held their FFA Work Auction Tuesday, March 22. The auction serves as their largest fundraiser of the year with proceeds assisting the chapter in attending field trips, the state and national FFA conventions, and CDE events. It also funds their annual FFA Chapter Banquet and awards.
Thirty students and their advisor, Matt Elam were auctioned for an 8-hour work day. The successful event raised $14,000 for the Mulberry Grove FFA Chapter.
The chapter extended thanks to Alva McDowell and Troy Niebarger for donating their time and expertise in auctioneering at the event; to those that donated cakes and pies; to Matt Blankenship, Effingham Equity, Steve Harnetiaux, and Brett Schewe; and to J & T Stone Seed for their donations of seed corn and seed beans.
