Mulberry Grove Fire District 2015 Annual Report


The Mulberry Grove Fire Protection had 11 fewer calls last year than in 2014.

Last year’s recently-released report shows 107 total alarms, 47 for fire calls and 60 for first responder calls. That’s 13 more fire alarms than in 2014 and 24 fewer first responder alarms.

In 2015, there were 2 structure fires in the district, 6 vehicle fires and 2 grass fires.

Mulberry Grove firemen provided mutual aid on 22 occasions and the district received mutual aid 5 times.

The estimated property loss due to fires was $425,000.

The Mulberry Grove Fire Department has 17 members with 15 first responders.

Dwight Volkmar is fire chief and Dave Koonce is head of the first responder unit.
