Tourism Committee Approves Expenditures, Director Announces Departure

The Greenville Tourism Committee met last week and retro-actively approved $750 in tourism funds for publicity of the Bond County Historical Society quilt show. The show was held on March 19th.

April Crew-Kelly, tourism director and Chamber of Commerce executive director, announced she has resigned from those positions, effective April 1st.

Committee members reviewed the guidelines for funding and agreed to add social media to the types of advertising and promotion that tourism funds can be used for.

Crew-Kelly said the committee might want to consider, in the future, a tourism booklet for the City of Greenville.
