On March 31st, the Greenville Junior High Scholastic Bowl team hosted their first home season match against Ramsey. The varsity and junior varsity teams each played two games. The varsity team defeated Ramsey 290-25 and 275-65. The junior varsity teams also won by scores of 260-40 and 180-90.

On April 9th, three Greenville teams competed at the Litchfield Open Scholastic Bowl Tournament along with 13 other teams from 7 other schools. The 16 teams were divided into two pools of eight, which played in a round robin format. The Greenville A team of Emma Nord, Jolie Harnetiaux, Zach Meyer, Daniel Kester, and Will Sussenbach went 3-4 and finished 4th place in their pool. The Greenville B team of Eli Borwick, Justin Matthews, Gabe Wilson, Cainan Grove, and Will Wagner also went 3-4 and finished 4th place in their pool The Greenville C team (in the same pool as the B team) of Chloe Beckert, Ariana Williams, Eowyn Dorethy, Abbie Brunk, Alexis Feaster, and Jade Neudeck went 2-5 and finished 7th.

Out of 104 students participating in the tournament, Eli Borwick placed 7th overall with an average of 47.14 points per game. Other Greenville players finishing in the top 25 included Chloe Beckert (14th; 32.86 ppg), Emma Nord (21st; 27.86 ppg), and Jolie Harnetiaux (25th; 23.57 ppg).

The team’s next competition will be at the Regional tournament April 27th at O’Fallon Carriel.
