Greenville residents have seen a lot of sidewalk work being done within the last week.
Bill Grider, city public works superintendent, told WGEL the city crews evaluated their work orders for sidewalk improvements and took care of the ones that had priority. They had some funds left over and used that money to initiate some contracts with local contractors to complete extra work.

More sidewalk work is ahead in the city, according to Grider. The new fiscal year starts May 1. If you have a sidewalk in your neighborhood in need of repair, you can call the Greenville Municipal Building at 664-1644 and they will evaluate it and add it to their list.
