The recent meeting of the Greenville federal prison Community Relations Board was led by new warden Tom Werlich.
It was announced there are 285 employees at the men’s medium security institution and women’s camp. 31 percent of those employees live in Bond County, 21 percent are in Madison County, 14 percent in Clinton County and 12 percent in Fayette County.
Bond County Board Chairman Howard Elmore presented plaques of appreciation to the prison for assistance provided by camp personnel in the courthouse beautification project.
A mock job fair will be held at the FCI the end of April and the annual fallen officer memorial service will take place during Correctional Officers’ Week on May 2nd at 2 p.m.
