The 60th annual Greenville FFA Parent and Member Banquet was held recently at the First Christian Church in Greenville. Special awards were presented to members. Many in the organization received recognition and adults were recognized as honorary members in the Greenville FFA Chapter.
Recipients of the Greenville FFA Honorary degrees were: Chris and Kim Krankel, parents of chapter reporter Brooke Krankel, and Glen Marti, an active FFA Alumni member. The honorary FFA degrees are presented to individuals who have provided extra assistance in the organization.
Special awards were given to several FFA members, including:

Activity Award: Brooke Krankel
Work Award: Kimberly Lovatto
Star Greenhand: Shelbi McCray
Outstanding Member: Brooke Krankel. (This award is named in memory of Craig Turley.)
Dekalb Award: Mitchell Langham
Mitchell Langham, Kimberly Lovatto, Brooke Krankel, Joshua Pierce, Danielle Somraty, and Ashley Manning were recognized for receiving their State FFA Degrees in June.
Senior members receiving chapter scholarships were Cheyanne Hulvey, Mark Ayers, Matt Barbey, Tyler Thiems, Mitchell Langham, and Danielle Somraty.
Activity T shirts were presented to the top five students in each year in the FFA. The recognition is based on involvement in various activities during the past year.

Second year: Shelbi McCray, J. T. Thiems, Amber Blackmon, Chandler Schaefer, and Logan Hilmes

Fourth year: Mitchell Langham, Danielle Somraty, Joshua Pierce, Mark Ayers, and Scott Woker.

Mitchell Langham – Turf Grass Management, first at Section and third at district. Mitchell was also the Section Star in Agriculture Business.
Hunter Mills – Fiber and Oil Crop Production, Diversified Crop Production Placement, Grain Production Placement and Grain Production Entrepreneurship, placing first at Section and third at District.
Danielle Somraty – Star Chapter Farmer, Diversified Livestock Production Entrepreneurship, Poultry Production and Specialty Animal Production placing first at Section and second at District.
Delaney Rogier – Goat Production
Skylor Snow – Dairy Placement, first Section and second District.
Brooke Krankel – Small Animal Production
Maddey Tebbe – Beef Production Entrepreneurship
Ashley Manning – Equine Science Entrepreneurship

Guest speaker for the evening was Kolton Kimpling, Reporter of the Illinois FFA Association.
